AI Transparency Notice
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Icarus AI Lab builds conversational AI agents (chat assistants on WhatsApp, Telegram, email
and web) for businesses. This notice explains how those agents identify themselves, how people
stay in control, and how AI models and data are used. It reflects the transparency
requirements of Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act).
You are talking to an AI
- Every conversational agent we build states in its first message that it is an AI system,
not a person.
- Our agents never claim or imply that they are human. If you ask whether you are talking
to a bot or a real person, the agent answers honestly.
- You can ask to speak with a person at any time. The agent takes your request and contact
details and passes them to the business's team, who then contact you directly.
Human oversight
- The business that deploys an agent can read the conversations and take over at any time.
When a person takes over, the agent stops replying.
- Our agents answer questions and collect the information a business needs in order to
follow up with you. They do not make legal or financial decisions about you.
AI-generated answers
Replies are generated by AI and can occasionally be incomplete or wrong. Please confirm
important details, such as prices, availability or contractual terms, directly with the
business.
AI models and your data
- Depending on the deployment, our agents use large language models from third-party
providers such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI or Google (Gemini). Your message text is sent to
the provider only to generate replies.
- The business that deploys the agent is responsible for how it uses the data collected
through the conversation. We act as its technology provider and, where applicable, its data
processor. For questions about your data, contact that business first.
- We do not sell conversation data to third parties.
